Artist's
Statement All my paintings are composites of memory. I came across a roll of 8mm film of my family in the 1930s. That black and white film became the inspiration for my figurative work and the journey back to the most significant people and places in my life. The faces of the past are not limiting because of their familiarity. I find a universality in seeking out the spirit in each face. It is a very exciting journey.
